what's happening in shanghai in 2010?

the world expo is a large scale, global and non-commercial exposition.
think of it as the world's 3rd largest event, after the olympics and the world cup.
basically, countries all the world will be setting up pavilions which are aimed at promoting the exchange of ideas and the development of the world's economy, culture, science and technology; and to allow nations to showcase their acheivements as well as to improve international relations.


it is expected that 70million visitors will visit the site in the period of 6 months when the expo is on!
i.e. 1 may to 30 oct 2010.


how can i win the trip? (and other wonderful prizes)

submit your ideas for singapore's self-built pavilion!
either by introducing an entirely new theme or by simply just inputting ideas!
the current theme is 'city of possibilities, transforming lives'.
and of coz there are other sub themes that u can work on - culture, science and tech, economy, communities and rural-urban linkages.
